Am I Crazy or is Nano?

So, I have decided to join www.Nanowrimo.org and write a novel. Mind you, I work 45 hours a week and teach at SLCC and am already writing one novel. So, what's one more? I don't even have an idea yet!

I may not be able to do the whole thing, but I am gonna work on it.

I've been writing haikus on twitter--my username is kelticray--check it out! I really enjoyed the 140 character count to keep me concise.

But since I don't have those boundaries here....let me tell you about the traffic here in Utah.

I thought when people said that drivers were bad in Utah, they were exaggerating. They were right, I was wrong. Driving on the freeway tonight made me want a glass of wine when I got home==no, not just want one, but actually need one. What is up with the brakes? Or going 35 in a 55 mph zone? Though my favorite by far is the "go fast, cut you off, then slam on the brakes" cycle that happened over and over.

I admit, I yelled things I wasn't proud of--and a few profanities I was-- and made it home before peeling the leather off my steering wheel in frustration. It was then that I realized I had left a meditation tape in my player, but had turned the sound down. The whole time Pema Chodron was waxing poetics in my ear while I am spewing vulgarities out of my mouth.

There's something quite beautiful about that.
